Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, more than 35 million Americans struggled with hunger in the United States. Since the pandemic, that number has risen to more than 50 million people.1 Even Americans who may not struggle with hunger have to deal with food apartheid, preventing neighborhoods from having access to affordable and health food.

Our Justice Gardeners felt this increase in food injustice as a call to action. Our team has developed several resources to help you get started with your own Food Justice Garden project. Gardening is easier than you think, and no effort is too small! Our guides are meant to do just that- guide you- as you tailor your gardener network and garden to fit your community’s needs.
